Horn Please

Have you ever observed, how loud are we??. The first rule for driving..world wide is to fasten your seat belt, where the first rule in India is to locate the horn. I'm not exaggerating to say everyone drives with one hand on the horn and one on the gear shift but most of us like to do this...
There is a saying that every thing has a reason so here we indian have full list of reasons..
1. When you pass a vehicle, honk your horn.
2. When a vehicle passes you, honk your horn.
3. When someone is walking down the road, honk your horn.
4. When going through an intersection, honk your horn.
5. If there is an animal on the road (Road pe sirf insaano ka hi nahi janwaro ka bhi haq, woh baat alag hai gov
inse road tax nahi leti), honk your horn.
6. When a song you like comes on the radio, honk your horn.
7. Meri Marzi, Meri Car hai mera Horn hai.. Main to bajaouga..

This may seem completely ridiculous when written down, but its a fact and we called it indian system... a very loud system. In case you forget to blow your horn most of the 'Auto's' and lorries have reminders to do so written on the backs of their vehicles. The painted script reads, "Horn Please", and "Stop"..  Last year one of my European colleague told me that it should be like this "Stop Horn Please"... Bechara bhool gaya ki india main hai.LOL

As you drive along the busy, crowded streets of Delhi you will hear a symphony of different tones and sounds of every kind of horn imaginable. There is the beep beep of the numerous motorcycles, the squeeze honk of the auto rickshaws, the honk honk of the cars and SUV's and the blasts from the lorries and busses. Add the shrill constant tweet of the police whistle and the vroom, put put, rrrrrrrr, of the vehicle engines and your traffic orchestra is complete.

This constant noise pollution, while maddening, has become a comfort to for all of us just becoz we have grown here. Could you imagine that we indian are the only one who pays someone to make noise outside of your home all night long yaad aaya haa apna Security Guard...

Kahi to padha tha .. "Kutta bhi bina wajhe nahi bhonkta to phir aap kyo??".. dont know why i m writing this but this is what i felt whenever i am on road.. When will we understand and when we will stop this..
