Sabse peeche hum khade

Yesterday my friend asked me to call him back. It took me some time to call him back and he became angry. For the 40-45 minutes we talked, or rather he talked, he went on speaking about his problems. He needed advice on some of the problems and something’s he just needed to talk. And so he talked and talked and talked. I listened and spoke wherever necessary.

When he ended the phone, I was relived. Then I realize that he didn’t even ask me how I was? Maybe I am becoming a little grumpy or maybe he just was too worried about his own trouble or maybe he just forgot.

But it always happens. I think people need me if they have some work with me. They are normally absent when I need them. I guess they have their own priorities and I come last in those priorities.

There is a song by “Silk Route” which goes like “Sabse Peeche hum khade” (I stand behind everybody).
